The Living Classroom

Education goes beyond the classroom at Farm My School. Students learn about food production, healthy systems, planting seeds, harvesting produce, and discovering firsthand how healthy soil, ecosystems and communities are connected.

Education Program

Experience, Learn, Grow

Farm My School Education Program creates hands-on learning experiences to stimulate critical thinking about food growing, regenerative farming, sustainability, health and wellbeing. We explore constructive and sustainable ways farming and food issues can be addressed on a local scale. Through first-hand experience, we aim to build students' understanding, respect and connection with farms and the farmers who grow the food we eat.

Excursions & Incursions

Excursions are held at either Farm My School Bellarine at Bellarine Secondary College in Drysdale, on a 1.5 linear kilometre market garden or at Farm My School Colac at Colac Secondary College which measures 2.1 linear kilometres of garden beds.

Schools can choose between half day or full day excursions.

Workshop Topics

Farm My School excursions cater for Early Learning, Primary and Secondary year levels, are aligned to the Victorian Curriculum and are delivered by qualified educators.

In conjunction with the Victorian Schools Garden Programs, Farm My School educators are also available to deliver incursions to Victorian primary and secondary schools.
